My parents always encouraged my interest in electronics. I built my first tube unit, a shortwave radio on the kitchen table, from a kit that they bought me when I was 8 years old. A few years after that I was going to RSGB ( Radio Society of Great Britain) exhibitions in London. And a few years after that I was making oscilloscopes and developed an interest in pirate TV and radio, though never personally active in these areas. I have studied the designs of all the well known brands of tube guitar amps and have now designed my own amps which have their own unique sound, totally different to anything else on the market- Goodchild Amplification. I attended Goldsmiths College of Music In London, where I studied Jazz Rock, Classical Guitar and Composition. I play original Chicago style slide guitar, bass guitar, original metal guitar, pedal steel, virtual synths, drums and sing and write songs. I do all of this in my little home studio.
Equipped with three 24 inch 2nd hand monitors and 2nd hand soundcards…… more sense than money……. but I’m working on it \ud83d\ude42
I’m just finishing off my prototype design and will add a couple of sound files, so you can hear how great Goodchild Amplification sounds.
