My parents always encouraged my interest in electronics. I built my first tube unit, a shortwave radio on the kitchen table, from a kit that they bought me when I was 8 years old. A few years after that I was going to RSGB ( Radio Society of Great Britain) exhibitions in London. And a few years after that I was making oscilloscopes and developed an interest in pirate TV and radio, though never personally active in these areas. I have studied the designs of all the well known brands of tube guitar amps and have now designed my own amps which have their own unique sound, totally different to anything else on the market- Goodchild Amplification.
